We’re getting married!

At 18, Jess & Stuart unknowingly lived parallel lives. They went to the same college, sat in the same café every day, and even ended up in the same clubs—always just within reach but never quite meeting. It simply wasn’t their time.

Life took them in different directions. Jess spent a decade in the Midlands, while Stuart filled his years going to gigs and making an annual pilgrimage to Glastonbury. But fate had other ideas.

When Jess eventually returned to Hull, the stars finally aligned. Their paths crossed in the legendary (for all the wrong reasons) Bar Babylon in Hull’s Old Town. Stuart, ever the charmer, decided to open with the ultimate icebreaker: “What’s your favourite type of cabbage?” And from that moment on, Jess knew—this was the one.

Since then, life together has been all about cooking, wine, and adventure. Then, in a beautiful apartment in Florence—one of the most romantic cities in the world—Stuart got down on one knee.

And the rest? Well, that’s just the start of their greatest adventure yet.

Here’s what to expect on the day
Our ceremony will take place at the Guildhall, Hull, at 3:00pm. Due to limited space, we unfortunately can’t squeeze everyone into the ceremony, but we would love for all of our guests to join us at the reception venue from 3:30pm, with your welcome drink in hand, ready to greet us when we arrive around 4:00pm.

You won’t go hungry! Shortly after arrival (4:30 pm), you’ll be treated to delicious canapés, followed by a lush BBQ serving from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. And for those with a sweet tooth, there will be plenty of treats later in the evening.
